Slave unit is used as an extension for the Master unit to provide measurements in big boats. Similar to the Master, each Slave has two ports four channels each, which means it can collect data from two oars: one Slave extension unit (together with the Master unit) is required to measure double or four, three Slave units required for a quadruple scull or eight.
Slaves are connected with Master and between themselves with cables in a chain, which provides power, synchronisation and data stream. When the Master unit starts, it automatically detects number of connected Slaves, and its sequence: the closest Slave is assigned as N2 (N1 is inbuilt in the Master), next one as N3, etc. Therefore, any Slave can be used at any position in a boat without manual number assignment.
Single Slave unit can also work as an independent data collector for 8 analogue channels, when it is connected to USB port and powered from it with a special cable.
