This chart is especially useful when evaluating or comparing erg scores across athletes with varying body mass. Simply input the erg scores and body weights of two rowers, and the calculator will generate: • A weight-adjusted score for the second rower (i.e., the erg time needed to match the first rower’s Power-to-Weight ratio); • A comparison of both rowers' weight-adjusted scores. The BioRow model adjusts the power factor based on race distance: • For aerobic distances (≥ 2000 m), a factor of 0.222 is used; • For shorter, anaerobic distances, the factor increases up to 0.333. This reflects physiological differences: lighter athletes tend to excel in endurance (aerobic) events, while heavier athletes often have an advantage in shorter, high-power (anaerobic) efforts.
